Chen Kun, who made her debut in idol drama, has forged a bond with historical figures in the past two years, and has successively appeared in such heavy historical figures as Jiang Jingguo in China and Zhou Enlai in China, and gained high praise. In the movie Qian Xuesen, Chen Kun will interpret a series of little-known tortuous stories of this outstanding scientist and legendary hero through the big screen, and reproduce the touching love experience of his childhood and lifelong love with his wife Jiang Ying (Yuqi Zhang). A few days ago, the film released a number of modeling stills from Chen Kun’s films. Compared with Jiang Jingguo and Zhou Enlai he played before, Chen Kun said that Qian Xuesen’s wisdom and talent would be highlighted in characterization.

Three historical figures contrast Qian Xuesen’s wisdom and talent.

Chen Kun’s Jiang Jingguo is the most successful role in The Founding of the People’s Republic, from his initial reluctance to take the role to his unanimous affirmation. No matter his loneliness around Chiang Kai-shek or his sternness and decisiveness in dealing with the economic crisis, Chen Kun shows it incisively and vividly. Jiang Jingguo became a bright spot in The Founding of the People’s Republic, and Chen Kun seems to have discovered a new self: "I never had confidence to play him well until I got the affirmation I had never had before, which was my unexpected gain." People who have seen beginning of the great revival later are also quite satisfied with his role as Zhou Enlai. Although there are only three scenes, Chen Kun’s performance is remarkable, especially his determined eyes, which are very similar to Zhou Enlai’s, and perfectly reveal the elegant temperament of the Prime Minister.

Now it’s a biographical new film "Qian Xuesen". For such a legendary historical figure, Chen Kun also has a lot of feelings in his heart. He thinks that Qian Xuesen’s greatest charm is wisdom and talent. "His heart has a pride unique to China and a personality that never gives up. There is a realm where everyone is drunk and I wake up alone."

In terms of appearance, Chen Kun revealed in a previous interview that Qian Xuesen himself was rounder than him because he wanted to be loyal to his true image, so he deliberately gained weight. In addition, Qian Xuesen’s hairline is relatively backward, so the makeup artist covered Chen Kun’s forehead with three layers of skin, and he had to endure makeup torture for up to four hours at a time.

Shaped like a god, more like Chen Kun to prepare for Qian Xuesen.

In addition to being similar to Qian Xuesen in appearance, Chen Kun also put forward higher requirements for himself. Huang Jianxin, the producer of this film who has cooperated with Chen Kun for many times, said: "Qian Xuesen is extremely wise, and his thoughts are always ahead of the times. We have been looking for an ideological, very handsome and versatile actor to show Qian Xuesen, who can paint, play the piano and understand science, and Chen Kun is the most suitable. " It is understood that in order to play Qian Xuesen, Chen Kun actually did a lot of homework in private, not only trying to figure out the performance skills, but also consulting a lot of materials, including many biographies, documentaries and letters of Qian Xuesen. Chen Kun said with emotion: "It will be a pity if you have never played a biography in your life. It feels great to play a complete character and you are more and more confident in grasping the character."

Director Zhang Jianya revealed that because there is a part where Qian Xuesen and his wife live in the United States, in addition to the English teacher in the group, Chen Kun himself brought an English teacher. "He has a foundation in English and has a very good memory. He can recite the lines once, and the film even teaches foreign students in English dialogue."
